Conflict-
The conflict in this story is that Katniss, a 16 year old girl living in District 12 out of the 13 has to survive through the Hunger Games forced by the Capitol. Katniss has to survive on her resources and battle to death with the other forced competitors of the Hunger Games, Katniss is partnered up with a 16 year old boy named Peeta
that also lives in District 12. The last ones standing after the battle of the Hunger Games are the winners and they receive food for their district and the right to keep living.
Plot-
After the destruction in North America there is a nation known as Panem. There are 13 Districts, District 13 was destoryed, District 12 is the poorest district, District 4 and 6 are the richest. Every year 1 boy and 1 girl are chosen to fight until death in an arena as a game known as the Hunger Games. This is the 74th year and a 16 year old girl named Katniss takes the place of her sister, Prim as a tribute to enter the Hunger Games to protect her sister and Peeta a 16 year old boy who knows Katniss from school is also chosen for the Hunger Games. In the arena of battle a new rule had been placed in which the two people in the District can team up as a pair and win. Katniss searches for Peeta and later finds him wounded and they battle off every District competitors until its just them two remaining. Gamemakers of the Hunger Games decide to flip the rule back to how it was and they want Katniss and Peeta to face each other, both of them threaten with suicide so the gamemakers decide to give them victory. Katniss and Peeta won the Hunger Games and will receive food for their District and can keep living.
